Auger-Aliassime beats Zverev to reach ATP Finals semis and Sinner stays perfect
Felix Auger-Aliassime beat two-time champion Alexander Zverev and claimed the last spot in the semifinals of the ATP Finals on Friday. Carlos Alcaraz, who is fresh from claiming the year-end No. 1 ranking after winning all three of his group matches. The eighth-seeded Auger-Aliassime won 6-4, 7-6 (4) to join Jannik Sinner in advancing from the Bjorn Borg group.

The two fighters had their final faceoff on Friday afternoon in The Big Apple, and UFC CEO Dana White needed to get in the middle of everything as the heat picked up immensely. </p><p class="has-text-align-none">Check out the final faceoff below. </p><div class="youtube-embed"></div><p class="has-text-align-none">Following the faceoff, Makhachev spoke to UFC 322 color commentator Joe Rogan where the former lightweight champion gave his final thoughts ahead of his opportunity to become a two-division UFC world champion. </p><p class="has-text-align-none">“One day to my dream,” Makhachev said. “[It’s the] biggest fight of my life. I am ready. Thank you, everyone. See you tomorrow.”</p><p class="has-text-align-none">Della Maddalena defends his title for the first time after defeating Belal Muhammad at UFC 315 in May to capture the championship. To a chorus of boos, “JDM,” who enters the fight with 18 straight wins, gave his final message to the fans. </p><p class="has-text-align-none">“Joe, I’m on top of the world,” Della Maddalena said. “Tomorrow night, I’m retaining my belt.
