Harden's 82nd career triple-double leads Clippers past Mavericks 133-127 in 2OT in NBA Cup
James Harden scored four of his 10 overtime points in the second extra period and finished with season highs of 41 points and 14 rebounds, along with 11 assists, as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Dallas Mavericks 133-127 in an NBA Cup game on Friday night. Harden had the 82nd triple-double of his career and Ivica Zubac added a season-high 27 points and 11 rebounds as the Clippers (4-8) snapped a six-game losing streak and improved to 2-0 in the NBA Cup. Naji Marshall, making his first start of the season, and D’Angelo Russell, coming off the bench, scored 28 points apiece to lead the Mavericks (3-10), who are 0-2 in group play.

Transfers Yaxel Lendeborg and Morez Johnson Jr. have double-doubles as No. 6 Michigan wins at TCU
Transfer forwards Yaxel Lendeborg and Morez Johnson Jr. both had double-doubles and No. 6 Michigan won 67-63 at TCU on Friday night. Lendeborg, the transfer from UAB, had 14 points and 10 rebounds while Johnson from Illinois had 10 points and 12 rebounds. Michigan (3-0) overcame 22 turnovers and held on to beat a Horned Frogs team that had won six of its previous seven games when hosting a top 10 team.

But this was Russell’s night after a rough stretch over the past week. He floated in a contested runner over Dunn to tie the game late in the fourth quarter.</p><p>Russell scored 10 points in the fourth to spark a 17–6 <a href="https://alldlls.com/mavericks/">Mavericks</a> run, helping Dallas claw back and force two overtimes. But the Mavericks ultimately fell to the Los Angeles Clippers 133-127 in double overtime on Friday at the American Airlines Center.</p><p>In the first overtime, Russell got help from Naji Marshall and Cooper Flagg. Marshall knocked down two free throws after being fouled on a fast-break attempt, and Flagg hit a running layup to tie the game at 123 with 20 seconds remaining. Gafford then blocked the Clippers’ final shot, giving Dallas 1.4 seconds for a potential game-winner — but Max Christie fumbled the inbounds pass, sending the game to double overtime.</p><p>In the second overtime, James Harden wouldn’t be denied. Harden scored four points in the period to cap his monster night: 41 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists.</p><p>The loss marked the Mavericks’ seventh in their last eight.
