![](/<p>On Sunday, Arsenal produced a statement derby win over <a href="https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur?xtor=AL-72-%5Bpartner%5D-%5Byahoo.north.america%5D-%5Blink%5D-%5Bsport%5D-%5Bbizdev%5D-%5Bisapi%5D">Tottenham</a> to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points.</p><p>Eberechi Eze was the hero, scoring his first hat-trick in senior football and the first in a north London derby since 1978 after Leandro Trossard opened the scoring.</p><p>'Made it look Eze' and 'Three and Eze' are two of Monday's back pages, but it was their captain Declan Rice that most impressed former top-flight goalkeeper David James. </p><p>"I know Eze will get all of the headlines, and he deserves to because all three finishes were fantastic, but Rice is so good," James said on BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast. </p><p>"There were a couple of times where he played first time balls and he had so much control in the midfield which is probably why Tottenham never got a grip of the ball.</p><p>"Arsenal bossed it. ![](/<figure><img alt="Elche manager furious with Real Madrid’s second goal being allowed – ‘A clear foul’" src="https://media.zenfs.com/en/madrid_universal_articles_561/395b85b3c2e9496fb4be1d4a3331f89d" data-uuid="c092e8c9-4703-3cc2-838d-5561256fa0ea"><figcaption>Elche manager furious with Real Madrid’s second goal being allowed – ‘A clear foul’</figcaption></figure><p>Real Madrid’s 2-2 draw against Elche was a lucky result as far as <em>Los Blancos </em>are concerned, for they did struggle on the night and score two dubious goals that could have gone either way.</p><p>While both goals were indeed legitimate, there is good reason for the hosts to feel hard done by the same.</p><p>That sentiment, needless to say, was far more exaggerated in the team’s second goal when Vinicius Jr. unfortunately collided with Elche’s goalkeeper Inaki Pena and left him with a bleeding nose seconds before Jude Bellingham’s tap-in.</p><h2>Elche coach speaks</h2><p>Eder Sarabia, the manager of Elche, faced the media after the game and made his thoughts very clear that he saw the draw to be an unfair result for his side.</p><p>The coach insisted that Real Madrid’s second goal on the night should not have counted, saying,</p><img height="0" src="https://media.zenfs.com/en/madrid_universal_articles_561/b9fc99f4ea6b59dbf04564cd3257a697" width="2048" data-uuid="a0db8189-925a-3e98-a449-74cc64e80508"><p>Inaki Pena was injured against Elche. Vinicius’ foul in the 2-2 goal is very clear.”</strong></p><p>Elaborating on how his goalkeeper was affected by the collision and directly impacted by stopping Real Madrid’s equaliser, Sarabia said,</p><p><strong>“Inaki didn’t see the play, but it’s not just a normal play – it’s a very clear foul.”</strong></p><p><strong>“It angers me to waste time on these things, but when you go ahead twice and feel that there were factors that affected the final result, you feel angry,”</strong> he added on his anger.</p><p>He then reiterated that his goalkeeper had been fouled in the second goal and how it was atrocious that VAR did not even see the incident worth reviewing.</p><p><strong>“Vinícius Junior committed a clear foul on Inaki Pena,”</strong> he noted.</p><p>Source: <a href="https://amp.marca.com/futbol/elche/2025/11/23/sarabia-var-esto-falta-clarisima-clarisima.html" target="_blank">MARCA</a></p>)

That’s good progress given how few important games he’s started.</p><p>The fact that he had to play in the Moises Caicedo role without Caicedo in the team made it even more impressive. Those are big shoes to fill, and the Brazilian did so well.</p><h2>Santos on “big family” at Chelsea</h2><img height="1365" src="https://media.zenfs.com/en/the_chelsea_news_articles_133/fa254807a8fefdf1f6f8d0592402e079" width="2048" data-uuid="732dbdd2-93be-373c-a0e3-c72804ab4e91"><p>Andrey Santos in action against Burnley. Our team is like a family and we help each other every day, and I’m so happy to play with all of them.</p><p>“The most important thing is the three points and the away victory, and now we have to keep going, keep fighting for every game. It’s a Premier League game and we knew it was going be difficult,” the midfielder continued.</p><p>“I like to get involved with the tackles, to help my team-mates, and I’m so happy with my performance today, and the performance of the team. We fought very well for the win.”</p><p>He’s surely earned himself more minutes this week with that display.</p><h2>In other news…</h2><p>Enzo Maresca joked that he might drop Estevao Willian after Saturday’s win, but only if the winger did <a href="https://chelsea.news/2025/11/maresca-estevao-threatens-drop/">this one thing he didn’t like.</a></p><p>After Saturday’s win over Burnley, Maresca was asked about Marc Cucurella’s contribution to the win, and he praised the <a href="https://chelsea.news/2025/11/cucurella-maresca-player-create-chaos/">defender’s ability to get into the box</a> and cause the opposition problems, as he did for his team’s opening goal.</p>)
