No. 15 Iowa State remains unbeaten with 83-82 victory over No. 14 St. John's in Players Era tourney
Milan Momcilovic scored a game-high 23 points and No. 15 Iowa State defeated No. 14 St. John’s 83-82 on Monday in the Players Era tournament. St. John’s had a chance to take the lead after Iowa State’s Joshua Jefferson threw the ball away with 30 seconds left, but Oziyah Sellers missed a driving layup at the other end. Big East preseason player of the year Zuby Ejiofor’s 3-point attempt at the end clanked off the rim, and Dillon Mitchell’s put-back at the buzzer provided the final margin.

SMU’s staff remained in pursuit though, and has been considered the favorite to land him for the better part of the last week.</p><p>Utu’s decision comes just a week before National Signing Day, and leaves the Tide looking to fill his spot.</p><p>The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder is the No. 328 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 27 interior lineman and No. 29 recruit in California. </p><p><em>This story will be updated.</em></p>)
